DS39201083 exhibits an IC₅₀ of 71 μM in the mu-opioid receptor (MOR) binding assay; in the functional MOR cAMP assay, it demonstrates an EC₅₀ >100 μM and an Emax of 12%^[1].

In Vivo

DS39201083 (Compound 17a) (30 mg/kg, oral gavage, once) effectively inhibits formalin-induced acute pain in mice through a non-opioid mechanism^[1].
DS39201083 shows excellent dose-dependent activity in the acetic acid-induced writhing test in Slc:ddY mice (ED₅₀=7.8 mg/kg; 23%, 52%, and 94% inhibition at 3, 10, and 30 mg/kg, respectively)^[1].
