eAmSPC 2593 is a Spectinomycin (HY-B1828) derivative that evades the TetV efflux pump of Mycobacterium abscessus and possesses anti-mycobacterial activity. eAmSPC 2593 exhibits potent bactericidal activity in acute and chronic Mycobacterium abscessus pulmonary infection models in SCID mice. eAmSPC 2593 can be used for research related to Mycobacterium abscessus infection and holds promise for malaria research.
