(S)-DMAPT
(S)-DMAPT ((S)-Dimethylamino Parthenolide) is a sesquiterpene lactone with radioprotective and radiation-mitigating effects. (S)-DMAPT alleviates radiation-induced bladder fibrosis and fibrosis markers in the lungs and bladder. (S)-DMAPT alleviates radiation-induced oligospermia, colorectal tissue senescence, and testicular senescence. (S)-DMAPT prevents radiation-induced skin damage.

Biological Activity
Description
In Vivo
(S)-DMAPT (thrice weekly every week; from one week pre-irradiation to study endpoint) reduces radiation-induced SA-β-Gal senescence in colorectal tissue and testis of C57BL/6J mice[1].
(S)-DMAPT (on the day of irradiation; once a day for the subsequent three days) reduces lung and bladder RNA expression of the ARS/fibrosis biomarkers Wnt3 and Ddb2 after high-dose whole-body irradiation in C57BL/6J mice[1].
