ProINDY, a prodrug of INDY (HY-108476), is a DYRK1A and DYRK1B inhibitor. ProINDY effectively recovers Xenopus embryos from head malformation induced by Dyrk1A overexpression.

Biological Activity
In the cultured cells overexpressing Dyrk1A or xDyrk1A, ProINDY inhibits the phosphorylation of Thr212 of the tau-protein. ProINDY also rescues the NFAT pathway in Dyrk1A-overexpressing cells, confirming the identical Dyrk1A-inhibitory effect[1].
