OV329
OV329 is a potent GABA aminotransferase inactivator. OV329 is a Vigabatrin (HY-15399) analogue. OV329 can increase brain GABA levels and block abnormal intracerebral hyperexcitability. OV329 exhibits anticonvulsant and antiepileptic activities. OV329 can be used for the research of neurological disease, such as seizure.

Actividad biológica
OV329 (30-40 mg/kg, i.p.) increases the afterdischarge threshold in amygdala-kindled rats[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
-
Animal Model:Pentylenetetrazole-induced seizuring Wistar Unilever rats[1]
-
Dosage:5, 20 and 40 mg/kg
-
Administration:Intraperitoneally injection
-
Result:Increased myoclonic seizure threshold from the 15.8 to 33.1 mg/kg at 40 mg/kg.
Increased clonic seizure threshold from the 19.5 to 40.98 mg/kg at 40 mg/kg.
Showed the EC50 for myoclonic seizures is 25.83 mg/kg and for clonic seizures is 20.8 mg/kg.
Showed the responder rate of rats reaches 100% at the dose of 40 mg/kg.
