KB-208 is a phagocytosis inhibitor. KB-208 inhibits phagocytosis of antibody-opsonized blood cells. KB-208 ameliorates thrombocytopenia in a mouse model of passive antibody-induced immune thrombocytopenia. KB-208 can be used for the research of immune thrombocytopenia.

Biological Activity
KB-208 inhibits phagocytosis of anti-D-opsonized Rh+ (R2R2) RBCs by human monocyte-macrophages[1].
KB-208 inhibits phagocytosis of anti-rabbit opsonized rabbit RBCs by mouse monocyte-macrophages[1].

KB-208 (0.5-5 mg/kg; s.c., i.p.; twice daily on days 2 and 3) significantly increases platelet counts in female C57BL/6J mice with antibody-induced ITP[1].
KB-208 (2.5 mg/kg; i.p.; twice daily on days 2 and 3) significantly increases platelet counts in male and female outbred CD1 mice with antibody-induced ITP without altering other key blood parameters[1].

Add each solvent one by one: 10% DMSO 40% PEG300 5% Tween-80 45% Saline

This protocol yields a clear solution of ≥ 5 mg/mL (saturation unknown).
Taking 1 mL working solution as an example, add 100 μL DMSO stock solution (50.0 mg/mL) to 400 μL PEG300, and mix evenly; then add 50 μL Tween-80 and mix evenly; then add 450 μL Saline to adjust the volume to 1 mL.
Preparation of Saline: Dissolve 0.9 g sodium chloride in ddH₂O and dilute to 100 mL to obtain a clear Saline solution.
