Insecticidal agent 38
Insecticidal agent 38 is a AChE inhibitor and Insecticide, with an IC50 of 49.08 μg/mL against AChE. Insecticidal agent 38 inhibits the activities of SOD, Catalase and Glutathione-S-transferase. Insecticidal agent 38 induces intracellular ROS, lipofuscin and lipid accumulation, increases malondialdehyde levels, disrupts redox homeostasis and triggers oxidative damage. Insecticidal agent 38 inhibits the feeding and reproductive capabilities of the pine wood nematode (Bursaphelenchus xylophilus). Insecticidal agent 38 exhibits insecticidal activity against nematodes. Insecticidal agent 38 can be used in studies of plant-parasitic nematode infections.

AChE 49.08 μg/mL (IC50) |
Insecticidal agent 38 (Compound B10) at concentrations of 50-200 μg/mL efficiently induces 100% mortality in Bursaphelenchus xylophilus (pine wood nematode), Aphelenchoides besseyi (rice white-tip nematode) and Ditylenchus destructor (potato rot nematode), with LC50 values of 5.85 μg/mL, 12.23 μg/mL and 17.33 μg/mL, respectively[1].
Insecticidal agent 38 (12.5-200 μg/mL; 3-48 h) exhibits time- and concentration-dependent nematicidal activity against the pine wood nematode (Bursaphelenchus xylophilus). After 48 h of treatment, the nematode mortality reaches 100% at concentrations of 200 μg mL-1 and 100 μg mL-1[1].
Insecticidal agent 38 (200 μg/mL; 3-48 h) impairs the locomotor behavior of the pine wood nematode (Bursaphelenchus xylophilus), reducing the frequencies of head swinging and body bending to 0 at 48 h post-treatment[1].
Insecticidal agent 38 (10-20 μg/mL; 48 h) inhibits the reproductive capacity of Bursaphelenchus xylophilus in a concentration-dependent manner, and its reproduction rate decreases to 7.83% after treatment with 20 μg mL-1 for 48 h[1].
Insecticidal agent 38 (10 μg/mL; 48 h) alters the transcriptome of Bursaphelenchus xylophilus, with significantly enriched down-regulated genes in the neuroactive ligand-receptor interaction pathway, which is verified by qRT-PCR after 48 h of treatment[1].
Insecticidal agent 38 (48 h) inhibits acetylcholinesterase activity of the pine wood nematode (Bursaphelenchus xylophilus), with an IC50 value of 49.08 μg mL−1 after 48 h of treatment[1].
Insecticidal agent 38 forms a variety of stable interactions with amino acid residues in the active site of acetylcholinesterase (PDB ID: 6H14), indicating that it is a potential AChE inhibitor[1].
Insecticidal agent 38 (10-20 μg/mL; 48 h) induces concentration-dependent accumulation of ROS, lipofuscin and lipids in Bursaphelenchus xylophilus. After treatment with 20 μg mL-1 for 48 h, the contents of the three substances increase by 2.35-fold, 3.13-fold and 3.11-fold, respectively[1].
