Biological Activity
Description
In Vitro
The structure of DSPE-PEG-Mannose comprises three key components that work synergistically:
DSPE: Acts as a hydrophobic anchor, securely embedding the entire molecule into the membrane structure of lipid nanoparticles.
PEG chain: Acts as a hydrophilic spacer, forming a hydration layer on the particle surface, reducing non-specific adsorption and immune system clearance, thus prolonging the carrier's circulation time in vivo.
Mannose: Acts as a targeting navigator, specifically recognizing and binding to mannose receptors on cell surfaces.
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
