JEDI-1444
JEDI-1444 is an LpxH inhibitor and the common core scaffold of EBL‑3599 (HY-187937) and EBL‑3647 (HY-187938). JEDI-1444 inhibits a manganese-dependent phosphatase, blocking the biosynthesis of lipid A and lipopolysaccharide in Gram-negative bacteria. JEDI-1444 exhibits antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli and is active against wild-type Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae possessing efflux function. JEDI-1444 can be used in research related to bacterial infections and peritonitis.

Biological Activity
Description
In Vitro
JEDI-1444 inhibits E. coli LpxH with an IC50 of 2.6 nM; it is active against wild-type E. coli ATCC 25922 and K. pneumoniae ATCC 13883 with an MIC of 2 mg/L, shows stronger activity against ΔtolC E. coli (≤0.125 mg/L), and exhibits reduced activity in 50% human serum (32 mg/L)[3].
JEDI-1444 selects resistant E. coli at a low frequency, with mutations restricted to LpxH[3].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
