2,2′-Dihydroxychalcone
2,2′-Dihydroxychalcone, a flavonoid, is a glutathione S-transferase (GST) inhibitor with an IC50 of 28.9 μM in human colon cancer cells. 2,2′-Dihydroxychalcone induces cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in prostate cancer cells. 2,2′-Dihydroxychalcone has anticancer and anti-inflammatory properties.

2,2′-Dihydroxychalcone (1-50 μM; 72 h) causes a dose-dependent reduction in viability, a concomitant increase in apoptosis in PC3 cells at 72 h, and a decrease in clonogenic survival at 24 h treatment[1].
2,2′-Dihydroxychalcone (15 μM; 6-48 h) markedly decreases the protein levels of Cyclin A and Cyclin B1, cdc2 and PIK1[1].
