HY-19930) in tube 5.A color change from yellow to red in tube 1 only containing water and the absence of any color change (no hydrolysis of nitrocefin) in the other tubes 2 to 5 indicate lack of carbapenemase activity but production of a noncarbapenemase β-lactamase, such as TEM-1 or CTX-M-type enzymes.
