SM-11044

SM-11044 is a β-adrenoceptor agonist with K_i values of 18.1 μM (β₁), 4.1 μM (β₂) and 1.3 μM (β₃), showing higher binding selectivity for the β₃-adrenoceptor. SM-11044 stimulates cAMP accumulation in cells expressing this receptor. SM-11044 mediates ileal relaxation, tracheal relaxation, pulmonary parenchymal relaxation, increased right atrial heart rate and adipocyte lipolysis.

SM-11044 (Serial dilutions; 1 h) binds to β₁-, β₂-, and β₃-adrenoceptors expressed in CHO cells with highest affinity for β₃-adrenoceptors (K_i = 1 μM), followed by β₂-adrenoceptors (K_i = 4 μM), and lowest affinity for β₁-adrenoceptors (K_i = 18 μM)^[1].
