MJBIA9836 serves as a Ligand for Target Protein for PROTAC for the synthesis of MAGE-A3 PROTAC degraders, such as KL-465 (HY-169086). MJBIA9836 can be used in the research of MAGE-A3-positive cancers.

Biological Activity
MJBIA9836 binds to purified MAGE-A3 MHD protein with a low-micromolar affinity (KD = 8.3 μM) in a 1:2 ligand-to-protein stoichiometry[1].
MJBIA9836 (43 μM) does not disrupt the interaction between purified MAGE-A3 MHD and TRIM28 RBCC protein, as indicated by minimal reduction in TR-FRET signal at 43 μM[1].
MJBIA9836 (10 μM; 72 h) causes minimal reduction in viability of MAGE-A3-positive cancer cell lines and no significant toxicity in MAGE-A3-negative cell lines[1].
