Description

Nitralin is a dinitroaniline herbicide. Nitralin exhibits inhibitory activity against Cryptosporidium parvum, with a IC50 of 4.5 µM[1][2].

In Vitro

Nitralin significantly inhibits Cryptosporidium parvum growth in the Madin Darby canine kidney (MDCK) cell in vitro cultivation model with an IC50 of 4.5 µM, with no observed toxicity[1].
Nitralin (25-50 μg/mL) stimulates the growth rate of Pseudomonas fluorescens by 22.0% at 25 μg/mL, while having no significant effect on the growth rates of Erwinia carotovora or Bacillus sp. at 50 μg/mL[2].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
