Oryzalin (0.1 μM; 5 min) inhibits anaphase chromosome migration, depolymerizes microtubules, and prevents the polymerization of new microtubules at all stages of the mitotic cycle in the endosperm cells of Haemanthus katherinae Bak[1].
Oryzalin (5-30 μM; in agar solution for 20-30 days) can double the chromosomes in isolated haploid apple stem segments with high survival rate and efficiency[2].
Oryzalin (6-500 μM; 1 h) has high hemolytic activity in human red blood cells, with a hemolysis rate of approximately 20% at 100 μM[2].
Oryzalin (6-50 μM; 48 h) has antileishmanial activity in THP-1 cells infected with L. infantum, with an IC50 of 24.2 μM[3].

    Help & FAQs
    • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
