RHBCu
RHBCu is a rhodamine-based azophenol derivative and a fluorescent indicator for Cu2+. RHBCu exhibits high selectivity for Cu2+ ions and enables fluorescent imaging of Cu2+ in cancer cells.

Biological Activity
RHBCu (1 μM; <30 s) forms a 1:1 complex with Cu2+ in an ethanol-water buffer (pH 7.14), induces a 14-fold fluorescence enhancement at 575 nm, and reaches a detection limit of 7.2×10-7 mol/L[1].
RHBCu (10 μM; 30 min) is cell-permeable and can detect Cu2+ in living HeLa cells; a strong fluorescent signal is generated when the cells are treated and then exposed to 20 μM Cu2+[1].
