SKF 91488 dihydrochloride
Based on 1 Customer Validation
SKF 91488 (Homodimaprit) dihydrochloride is a potent and noncompetitive histamine N-methyltransferase inhibitor with a Ki value of 0.9 μM. SKF 91488 dihydrochloride can block histamine metabolism and increase histamine concentrations. SKF 91488 dihydrochloride can increase blood pressure and enhance bronchoconstriction. SKF 91488 can be used for the researches of infection, inflammation and cardiovascular disease, such as Mycoplasma pneumonia and hemorrhagic hypotension.

Biological Activity
SKF 91488 (100 μM, 20 mins) eliminates the infection-induced airway hyperresponsiveness to histamine in Mycoplasma -infected pneumonia hamster tracheal segments[3].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
SKF 91488 (10 μg, i.c.v., 5 mins before bleeding) does not affect the blood volume required to reduce MAP to 60 mmHg but significantly increases the blood volume required to reduce MAP to 40 mmHg and 20 mmHg in Wistar rats[1].
SKF 91488 (10 μg, i.c.v.) significantly increases histamine concentrations in the hypothalamus and medulla oblongata in Wistar rats[1].
SKF 91488 (10 mM, aerosolized inhalation, 90 breaths per administration, 15 mins before OA challenge) potentiates ovalbumin (OA)-induced bronchoconstriction in OA-sensitized Hartley guinea pigs[2].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
