SphK2-IN-5 (Compound 6a) potently and selectively inhibits SphK2 with an IC50 of 0.55 μM; it shows negligible activity against SphK1 at a concentration of 10 μM[1].
SphK2-IN-5 (48 h) exhibits potent and selective antiproliferative activity against the HCT-116, MC38, Hepa1-6 and HepG2 tumor cell lines, and shows no activity against non-tumorigenic NIH-3T3 cells[1].
