Description

TUG-1609 is a fluorescent tracer targeting free fatty acid receptor 2 (FFA2/GPR43) with a Kd value of 65.1 nM[1].

In Vitro

TUG-1609 acts as an antagonist of human FFA2 in Flp-In™ T-REx™ 293 cells expressing hFFA2-eYFP, inhibiting propionate-mediated IP1 accumulation with a pIC50 of 6.57[1].
TUG-1609 (2 h) binds to human FFA2 in membrane preparations from Flp-In™ T-REx™ 293 cells expressing hFFA2-eYFP, displacing [3H]-1 with a pKi of 7.31[1].
TUG-1609 (0-500 nM; 2 h) binds to NLuc-tagged human FFA2 in membrane preparations from Flp-In™ T-REx™ 293 cells with a Kd of 65.1 nM, a koff of 0.0249 min-1, and a kon of 368,000 M-1min-1[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
