Cat. No.: HY-107372H
Handling Instructions Technical Support

UTP (Uridine 5'-triphosphate) trisodium salt, 100 mM Solution, PCR Grade is a solution prepared from uridine triphosphate at a concentration of 100 mM, free of DNase, RNase and phosphatase contamination, suitable for molecular biology research. Uridine triphosphate (HY-107372) is a pyrimidine nucleoside triphosphate that is used as a substrate to synthesize RNA or as an energy source in metabolic reactions. Uridine triphosphate activates membrane-bound P2Y2 receptors.

Description

UTP (Uridine 5'-triphosphate) trisodium salt, 100 mM Solution, PCR Grade is a solution prepared from uridine triphosphate at a concentration of 100 mM, free of DNase, RNase and phosphatase contamination, suitable for molecular biology research. Uridine triphosphate (HY-107372) is a pyrimidine nucleoside triphosphate that is used as a substrate to synthesize RNA or as an energy source in metabolic reactions. Uridine triphosphate activates membrane-bound P2Y2 receptors[1][2][3].

In Vitro

UTP enhances the migration and wound repair of RT4-D6P2T cells by activating the P2Y2 receptor and increasing the activation and expression of extracellular MMP-2[2].
UTP induces MAPK phosphorylation in a biphasic manner. It causes early transient phosphorylation within 5 minutes after treatment, and late persistent phosphorylation occurs 6 hours later, lasting for up to 24 hours[2].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Western Blot Analysis[2]

Cell Line: RT4-D6P2T cells
Concentration: 250 μM
Incubation Time: 5 min, 45 min, 2 h, 6 h, 12 h, 24 h, 48 h
Result: Induces biphasic MAPK phosphorylation.
In Vivo

UTP (0.44-4.4 μg/kg; i.v.; once) reduces infarct size and improves rat heart function after myocardial infarct[3].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Animal Model: Male Wistar rats (250-300 g; 2-3 months) with myocardial infarction (MI)[3]
Dosage: 0.44 µg/kg 30 min before MI, and 4.4 µg/kg i.v. 24 h prior to MI.
Administration: i.v.; once
Result: Reduced infarct size and improves rat heart function after myocardial infarct.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
