2-Hydroxy nevirapine
2-Hydroxy nevirapine (2-OH NVP) is a phase I metabolite of Nevirapine (HY-10570) and an Aryl Hydrocarbon Receptor activator. It induces hepatic Apolipoprotein A1 levels and modulates paraoxonase-1 enzyme activity. 2-Hydroxy nevirapine is used in research on atherosclerosis and HIV-1 infection.

Biological Activity
Description
In Vitro
2-OH-NVP (300 μM; 12 days) increases ApoA1 levels by 86% after 12 days of incubation in 3D primary rat hepatocyte spheroid cultures[1].
2-Hydroxy-nevirapine (300 μM; 4 days) induces CYP1A1/1A2 activity in 3D primary cultures of rat hepatocytes[4].
