In Vitro

AChE/BuChE-IN-8 (Compound 6d) is a mixed-type hAChE inhibitor that binds to both free enzyme and enzyme-substrate complex simultaneously. It exhibits an AChE IC50 of 1.18 μM and a BuChE IC50 of 2.34 μM, with synergistic competitive (Ki = 1.2 μM) and non-competitive (Ki' = 2.5 μM) inhibitory effects[1].
AChE/BuChE-IN-8 (48 h) exhibits moderate antiproliferative activity against Caco-2 colon cancer cells (IC50 = 4.37 μM), with a selectivity index of 7.43[1].
AChE/BuChE-IN-8 exhibits potent free radical scavenging activity (IC50 = 12.1 μM).

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
