Apoptosis inducer 46
Apoptosis inducer 46 is an apoptosis inducer. Apoptosis inducer 46 exhibits potent and selective growth inhibitory effects on metastatic triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) cells. Apoptosis inducer 46 induces G2/M phase cell cycle arrest and apoptotic cell death in MDA-MB-231 cells, and blocks NF-κB nuclear translocation. Apoptosis inducer 46 can be used for the study of TNBC.

Biological Activity
Apoptosis inducer 46 (Compound 5d) (96 h) exhibits potent growth inhibitory effects on metastatic triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) MDA-MB-231, HCC 1806, MCF-7, BEAS 2B cells with IC50s of 0.38 μM, 0.31 μM, 0.39 μM, 0.7 μM, respectively[1].
Apoptosis inducer 46 (5-40 μM, 2-4 h) significantly reduces proteasome activity in MDA-MB-231 cells with an IC50 of 37.0 μM for proteasome inhibition, and induces accumulation of ubiquitinated proteins[1].
Apoptosis inducer 46 (5 μM, 24-72 h) increases the apoptosis rate and causes progressive accumulation of MDA-MB-231 cells in the G2/M phase of the cell cycle[1].
Apoptosis inducer 46 (5-20 μM) stabilizes cyclin D1, p53, and p21 proteins, prevents degradation of IκBα, IκBε, and IκKγ, and inhibits nuclear translocation of NF-κB in MDA-MB-231 cells[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
