Biological Activity
Bepristat 1a is a reversible PDI inhibitor that binds to the b' substrate-binding pocket of this enzyme and modulates the catalytic activity of its a and a' domains[1].
Bepristat 1a inhibits full-length recombinant PDI-mediated insulin reduction in the insulin turbidimetric assay, with an IC50 of approximately 0.7 μM[2].
