Biological Activity: Cytidine-5'-triphosphate (Cytidine triphosphate) is a nucleoside triphosphate and a substrate of CMP-KDO synthase, forming CMP-KDO. Cytidine-5'-triphosphate is a precursor of RNA/DNA, phospholipids, and sialoglycoproteins, is reduced to dCTP by deoxycytidylate-generating reductase, and can be used for the biosynthesis of phosphatidic acid to CDP-DG/cardiolipin[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8].
