Description

CBLC100 is an anticancer compound that targets FACT, while inhibiting NF-κB and activating p53. CBLC100 induces cytotoxicity through p53-dependent apoptotic and non-apoptotic pathways. CBLC100 is applicable to the research of cancers such as fibrosarcoma[1].

In Vitro

CBLC100 potently activates p53 and inhibits NF-κB in cell-based reporter gene assays, with corresponding EC50 values of 0.03 μM and 0.06 μM[1].
CBLC100 exerts selective cytotoxicity against human fibrosarcoma HT1080 cells, while showing low toxicity toward normal human Wi38 diploid fibroblasts[1].
CBLC100 (0.2 μM; 1 h) traps the FACT complex on the chromatin of human fibrosarcoma HT1080 cells, while depleting soluble FACT subunits in the nucleoplasm[1].
CBLC100 enhances CK2-mediated phosphorylation of the C-terminal region of p53 in human fibrosarcoma HT1080 cells[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
