E-0702
E-0702 is a cephalosporin antibacterial compound containing a catechol moiety. E-0702 chelates ferric ions, enters the intracellular compartment of Gram-negative bacteria via the TonB-dependent iron uptake system, and exerts bactericidal effects by inhibiting penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs). E-0702 exhibits iron-regulated bactericidal activity against Gram-negative bacteria and some Gram-positive bacteria, and possesses broad-spectrum anti-Pseudomonas activity. E-0702 can be hydrolyzed by common β-lactamases. E-0702 can be used in research related to bacterial infections.

Description
In Vitro
E‑0702 is a novel cephalosporin that is hydrolyzed by plasmid-mediated β‑lactamases, shows weak inhibition against plasmid and chromosomal β‑lactamases, and exhibits an inoculum effect[2].
