Description

Emepronium bromide is an antispasmodic agent for the bladder and a muscarinic receptor ligand, with an IC50 of 236 nM. Emepronium bromide is applicable to research related to bladder diseases[1].

In Vitro

Emepronium bromide (60 min) binds selectively to muscarinic M1 + M2 receptors in rat brain with an IC50 of 236 nM, and shows no significant affinity for other tested neurotransmitter receptors or calcium channel binding sites[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
