Description

Enalaprilat (MK-422 anhydrous), the active metabolite of the oral proagent Enalapril, is a potent, competitive and long-acting angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, with an IC50 of 1.94 nM. Enalaprilat can be used for the research of hypertension[1][2][3].

IC50 & Target

IC50: 1.94 nM (ACE)[1]

In Vitro

Enalaprilat (1 nM-10 μM; 24 h) attenuates the IGF-I induced neonatal rat cardiac fibroblast growth (30% reduction) in a concentration-dependent fashion, with an IC50 of 90 mM[2].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

In Vivo

Enalaprilat (0.01%-2.9% in the eyedrop solution) shows significant intraocular pressure (IOP)-lowering effect in rabbits[3].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
