Fluorodeoxyglucopyranose is a GLUT1 transporter substrate with facilitated bidirectional plasma membrane transport dependent on substrate gradients and independent of membrane potential. Fluorodeoxyglucopyranose undergoes conjugation to neuropharmaceutical agents and cancer imaging components. Fluorodeoxyglucopyranose can be used for the research of cancer.
