Oliveroline
Oliveroline is an aporphine alkaloid with anticancer activity and a G2 DNA damage checkpoint inhibitor. Oliveroline enables cells to escape G2 phase arrest after DNA damage. Oliveroline can be used in research related to various cancers including non-small cell lung cancer, lung cancer, and fibrosarcoma.

Oliveroline (compound 1) (0.01-100 μM; 8 h post-irradiation) inhibits the G2 DNA damage checkpoint in MCF-7 mp53 cells in a concentration-dependent manner[1].
Oliveroline (24 h pre-irradiation) inhibits proliferation of MCF-7 mp53 cells with an IC50 of 45 μM in the absence of DNA damage, and shows ~2.3-fold increased potency (IC50 = 20 μM) in cells treated with 6.5 Gy ionizing radiation[1].
Oliveroline inhibits the growth of human nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC-TW01), non-small cell lung carcinoma (NCI-H226), T cell leukemia (Jurkat), renal carcinoma (A498), lung carcinoma (A549), and fibrosarcoma (HT1080) cell lines, with the highest potency against A498 cells (IC50 = 3.68 μM) and IC50 values ranging from 3.68-13.28 μM across all lines[2].
