GT-055 (LCB18-055) is a broad-spectrum β-lactamase inhibitor and penicillin-binding protein 2 (PBP2) inhibitor. GT-055 inactivates β-lactamase, protects GT-1 from hydrolysis, and binds tightly to PBP2, thereby inhibiting cell wall biosynthesis. GT-055 can be used for research on bacterial infections.

In Vitro
GT-055 (0.12-256 µg/mL) exhibits intrinsic antibacterial activity against E. coli panel strains with MICs of 2 to 8 µg/mL[2].
GT-055 (0.12-256 µg/mL) lacks intrinsic antibacterial activity against Acinetobacter spp. panel strains with MIC > 256 µg/mL[2].
GT-055 (0.12-256 µg/mL) exhibits intrinsic antibacterial activity against most K. pneumoniae panel strains with MICs of 2 to 8 µg/mL[2].

In Vivo
GT-055 (20-200 mg/kg; co-administered with GT-1 at a 1:1 ratio via subcutaneous injection; once every 6 h; 7 days) combination therapy is highly effective against Y. pestis in a murine intranasal infection model, achieving 80% and 100% survival rates at doses of 60/90 mg/kg and 200/300 mg/kg, respectively[1].
