Description

Isocucurbitacin D is an antitumor agent[1].

In Vitro

Isocucurbitacin D inhibits tumor cell growth with ED50s of 0.06, 0.2, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.2 μg/mL against SK-MEL-2, A549, XF498, HCT15 and SK-OV-3 cells, respectively[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Cell Proliferation Assay[1]

Cell Line: MCF-7, MDA MB 231, A2780, A2780 CP, HepG2 and HCT-116 cells
Concentration: 0-100 μM
Incubation Time: 48 h
Result: Inhibited cell proliferation with IC50s of 12.0, 30.7, 37.8, 47.9, >100 and >100 μM against MDA MB 231, HCT-116, HepG2, MCF-7, A2780 and A2780 CP, respectively.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
