FR 409
FR 409 (NOR3) is a NO donor and vasodilator. FR 409 increases the diameter of retinal arterioles. FR 409 is toxic to a variety of cells. FR 409 can be used in research on pain and retinopathy.

体外実験
FR 409 (50-100 μM; 17-25 h) is toxic to PC12, NIH-3T3, and MDA-MB-231 cells[2].

体内実験
FR 409 (0.5–10 µg/kg/min; i.v.; single dose) increases the diameter of retinal arterioles and decreases mean arterial pressure in rats in a dose-dependent manner[3].
FR 409 (5 nM/eye; i.v.; single dose) increases the diameter of retinal arterioles in Wistar rats, but does not change mean arterial pressure or heart rate[4].
