MHES0488A is internalized by cells and transported to lysosomes, and then releases PBD-monoamide that enters the nucleus, alkylates DNA and induces DNA damage and apoptosis. MHES0488A is promising for research of cancers, such as HER2-positive breast cancer and gastric cancer.
