Monobutyl phthalate-d₄ is the deuterium labeled Monobutyl phthalate[1]. Monobutyl phthalate, a major metabolite of dibutyl phthalate (DBP), possesses antiandrogenic effects. Monobutyl phthalate is an embryotoxicant[2][3].

Stable heavy isotopes of hydrogen, carbon, and other elements have been incorporated into drug molecules, largely as tracers for quantitation during the drug development process.
