N-Nonyldeoxynojirimycin
Based on 1 Customer Validation
N-Nonyldeoxynojirimycin (NN-DNJ) is a deoxynojirimycin derivative with a hydrophobic long chain. N-Nonyldeoxynojirimycin is an orally active inhibitor of acid α-glucosidase (IC50: 0.42 μM) and α-1,6-glucosidase (IC50: 8.4 μM). N-Nonyldeoxynojirimycin has activities of inhibiting glycogen breakdown, anti-virus and anti-tumor. N-Nonyldeoxynojirimycin also has insecticidal effects, with an LD50 of 5 mM for adults of Bemisia tabaci.

N-Nonyldeoxynojirimycin (0-200 μM; 3 days) inhibits the secretion of infectious bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) in MDBK cells with an IC50 of 2.5 μM[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
N-Nonyldeoxynojirimycin (dietary administration) reduces tumor growth and ganglioside content with fewer side effects compared to Miglustat (HY-17020) in C57BL/6 mice bearing CT-2A tumors[3].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Result:Significantly increased liver glycogen concentration to 526 mmol/g wet weight in fasted mice at 250 mg/kg/day for 30 days, with effects plateauing at 50 days and persisting for 120 days. Glycogen accumulation was also observed in gastrocnemius muscle of both fed and fasted mice, and occasional glycogen deposition was seen in heart sections.
Induced dose-dependent liver glycogen inhibition at lower doses (≥50 mg/kg/day), with significant effects at 50 mg/kg/day .
