Description

PAT-IN-2 is a protein acyl transferases (PAT) inhibitor. PAT-IN-2 competitively inhibits Erf2 autopalmitoylation (WO2017011518A1; compound 25)[1].

In Vitro

PAT-IN-2 (compound 25) completely inhibits growth of RJY1941 (control) at 20 μΜ, but has no detectable effect at lower concentrations. PAT-IN-2 inhibits the growth of RJY1942 (palmitoylation sensitive) at 5 μΜ[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
