TAPI-1 is a broad-spectrum MMP inhibitor and NF-κB p65 inhibitor that targets ADAM17/TACE, ADAM10 and other proteins. TAPI-1 reduces the proteolytic cleavage of membrane-bound TNF-α, decreases TNF-α levels, inhibits NF-κB pathway activation, and downregulates profibrotic markers. TAPI-1 reduces the proportion of proinflammatory immune cells, alleviates cardiac and airway fibrosis, and improves cardiac function after myocardial infarction. Meanwhile, TAPI-1 inhibits the viability, migration and invasion of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma cells, enhances the chemosensitivity of Cisplatin (HY-17394), induces apoptosis, and shows low toxicity to normal esophageal epithelial cells. TAPI-1 can be widely used in studies related to myocardial infarction-induced heart failure, severe traumatic tracheal stenosis, esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and other conditions .

Diphenyl disulfide (Phenyl disulfide) is an organic disulfide compound. Diphenyl disulfide inhibits the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway, and induces ferroptosis (ferroptosis), apoptosis (apoptosis) and autophagy (autophagy) in cancer cells. Diphenyl disulfide downregulates GPX4 expression, inhibits NRF2 phosphorylation, induces lipid peroxidation, promotes xCT ubiquitination, induces proteolytic cleavage of p21 Bax into p18 Bax, and suppresses cell proliferation and viability. Diphenyl disulfide can be used in research related to melanoma and breast cancer .

ARI-3099 is an oral fibroblast activation protein (FAP) inhibitor. ARI-3099 specifically inhibits the proteolytic activity of FAP and blocks the cleavage of human FGF-21 between residues P171 and S172. ARI-3099 extends the half-life of circulating human FGF-21 in mice. ARI-3099 can be used in the research of type 2 diabetes and metabolic disorders .

TFLLRNPNDK-NH2 is a biological active peptide. (This peptide is a thrombin receptor activating peptide. This PAR-1 agonist peptide reversibly binds to PAR-1 mimicking the 'tethered ligand' that thrombin makes available through proteolytic cleavage of substrate. It is also known to cause increase in liquid and protein permeability much like thrombin.)

Cathepsin E substrate e is a substrate of Cathepsin E. Cathepsin E substrate e was designed in such a way that due to the close proximity of a Mca-donor and a Dnp-acceptor, a near complete intramolecular quenching effect was achieved in its intact state. After the proteolytic cleavage of the hydrophobic motif of the peptide substrate, both Mca and Dnp would be further apart, resulting in bright fluorescence .
