Trigonostemon F is a modified euphorbia diterpenoid, which is found in the roots of Trigonostemon thyrsoideum and the stems of Trigonostemon howii. Trigonostemon F inhibits the proliferation of human tumor cell lines and the growth of specific bacteria in vitro. Trigonostemon F is applicable to cancer-related research.

Biological Activity
Trigonostemon F (compound 6) potently inhibits the proliferation of human tumor cell lines HL-60, SMMC-7721, A-549, MCF-7 and SW480, with IC50 values ranging from 2.33 to 4.20 μM[1].
Trigonostemon F exhibits weak antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, MRSA 92# and MRSA 98#, with MIC values ranging from 12.5 to 25 μg/mL[1].
