2-Bromo-4'-fluoroacetophenone
Based on 1 Customer Validation
2-Bromo-4'-fluoroacetophenone (p-Fluorophenacyl bromide) is a photoinducible DNA cleavage inducer.2-Bromo-4'-fluoroacetophenone generates fluorine-substituted phenyl radicals upon excitation and irradiation to cleave DNA, converting circular supercoiled DNA to circular relaxed and linear DNA forms.2-Bromo-4'-fluoroacetophenone exhibits concentration-dependent DNA cleaving activity.2-Bromo-4'-fluoroacetophenone can be used for the research of cancer.

Biological Activity
2-Bromo-4'-fluoroacetophenone generates a reactive aryl radical after 15 min of anaerobic irradiation. This radical abstracts a deuterium atom from THF-d8 to form monodeuterated 4'-Fluoroacetophenone (HY-Y0779) with a yield of 32%[1].
2-Bromo-4'-fluoroacetophenone (0.1-100 mM; 30 min) cleaves ΦX174 RFI supercoiled DNA into nicked and linear forms in a concentration-dependent manner within 30 minutes[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
