A11 acetate  (Synonyms: ANXA1-derived 11 amino acid-long peptide acetate)

Cat. No.: HY-P10412A Purity: 98.48%
Handling Instructions Technical Support

A11 (ANXA1-derived 11 amino acid-long peptide) acetate is a ANXA1-EphA2 interaction-blocking peptide. A11 acetate reduces ANXA1 bound to EphA2 and increases Cbl (the E3 ubiquitin ligase of EphA2) bound to EphA2. A11 acetate inhibits the proliferation, migration and invasion of nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells. A11 acetate inhibits angiogenesis. A11 acetate can be used in studies related to nasopharyngeal carcinoma.

Description

A11 (ANXA1-derived 11 amino acid-long peptide) acetate is a ANXA1-EphA2 interaction-blocking peptide. A11 acetate reduces ANXA1 bound to EphA2 and increases Cbl (the E3 ubiquitin ligase of EphA2) bound to EphA2. A11 acetate inhibits the proliferation, migration and invasion of nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells. A11 acetate inhibits angiogenesis. A11 acetate can be used in studies related to nasopharyngeal carcinoma[1].

In Vitro

A11 (2.5-10 μM; 24 h) acetate blocks the binding of ANXA1 to EphA2, enhances the binding of Cbl to EphA2, reduces the protein level of EphA2 in human nasopharyngeal carcinoma 5-8F and HK1 cells in a dose-dependent manner, and promotes the ubiquitination and endocytosis of EphA2, with the strongest effect observed after 24 h of incubation at the treatment concentration of 10 μM[1].
A11 (10 μM; 10 days) acetate significantly inhibits the proliferation and anchorage-independent growth of human nasopharyngeal carcinoma 5-8F and HK1 cells[1].
A11 (10 μM; 24-48 h) acetate significantly inhibits the migration and invasion of human nasopharyngeal carcinoma 5-8F and HK1 cells[1].

Cell Proliferation Assay[1]

Cell Line: human NPC 5-8F and HK1 cells
Concentration: 10 μM
Incubation Time: refreshed every 24 h for 10 days
Result: Reduced EdU-positive 5-8F cells from ~34% to ~14% and EdU-positive HK1 cells from ~26% to ~12%.
Reduced colony formation in 5-8F cells from ~350 colonies to ~100 colonies and in HK1 cells from ~300 colonies to ~50 colonies.

Cell Invasion Assay[1]

Cell Line: human NPC 5-8F and HK1 cells
Concentration: 10 μM
Incubation Time: 24 and 48 h
Result: Significantly inhibited the invasion.

Cell Migration Assay [1]

Cell Line: human NPC 5-8F and HK1 cells
Concentration: 10 μM
Incubation Time: 24 and 48 h
Result: Significantly inhibited the migration.
In Vivo

A11 (ANXA1-derived 11 amino acid-long peptide) (10 μM; i.p.) acetate significantly inhibits subcutaneous nasopharyngeal carcinoma xenograft growth in nude mice by reducing EphA2 expression[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
