Antileishmanial agent-42 (Compound 5a) potently inhibits Leishmania amazonensis, L. braziliensis, L. infantum, and L. donovani promastigotes with IC₅₀ values of 0.95, 0.53, 0.8, and 0.82 μM, and exhibits low cytotoxicity to RAW 264.7 macrophages with a CC₅₀ of 110.57 μM, resulting in high selectivity indices from 116.4 to 208.6^[1].
Antileishmanial agent-42 (0.78-50 μM; 72 h) potently inhibits intracellular amastigotes of Leishmania amazonensis, L. braziliensis, L. infantum, and L. donovani in RAW 264.7 macrophages with IC₅₀ values of 0.65, 0.48, .52 and 0.61 μM^[1].
