In Vitro

ArMan (8 nM; 30 min) displayed by VLPs exhibits enhanced colocalization with DC-SIGN and TLR7 in human monocyte-derived dendritic cells following 30 min of incubation[1].
ArMan (8 nM; 24 h) displayed by VLPs induces robust activation of human monocyte-derived dendritic cells, with significantly increased surface expression of CD40, CD80, CD83, and CD86 after 24 h of incubation, dependent on DC-SIGN binding[1].
ArMan (8 nM; 6 h) displayed by VLPs upregulate TLR7-associated gene expression and hallmark DC activation pathways in human monocyte-derived dendritic cells after 6 h of incubation[1].
ArMan (8 nM; 32 h) displayed by VLPs induce significantly higher secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-6, CXCL10, IL-8, IL-12p70) by human monocyte-derived dendritic cells after 32 h of incubation, dependent on DC-SIGN engagement[1].

ArMan (s.c. or i.p.; days 3, 9, 15) delivered via VLPs generates robust, tumor antigen-specific Th1 CD4+ and CD8+ T cells capable of tumor infiltration, significantly inhibiting melanoma tumor growth, extending survival, and providing long-term protection against tumor recurrence in mice[1].
ArMan (s.c. or i.p.; days 3, 9, 15) delivered via VLPs functions as a self-adjuvanting cancer vaccine component, inducing robust tumor antigen-specific CD8+ T cell responses and supporting anti-tumor efficacy in mice without the need for additional adjuvants[1].
