Cyprolidol
Cyprolidol is an orally active inhibitor of acetylcholine receptor and histamine receptor with potential antidepressant activity. Cyprolidol inhibits acetylcholine-induced hypotensive response, histamine-induced systolic blood pressure decrease, tyramine-induced systolic blood pressure increase, serotonin-induced systolic blood pressure response in anesthetized animals, and bretylium-induced systolic blood pressure increase in anesthetized cats. Cyprolidol potentiates norepinephrine-induced systolic blood pressure increase, slightly potentiates epinephrine-induced systolic blood pressure increase, and enhances the anesthetic depth of barbiturates. Cyprolidol can be used in the research of depression.

Activité biologique
Cyprolidol (10 mg/kg; i.v.; single dose) produces a mean -34.16 mmHg systolic pressure fall in anesthetized dogs, while also potentiating norepinephrine and epinephrine pressor responses and inhibiting tyramine, histamine, acetylcholine, and serotonin responses[1].
Cyprolidol (10-30 mg/kg; i.v.; single dose) produces a biphasic systolic pressure response (-34.00 mmHg fall followed by +38.00 mmHg rise) in anesthetized cats, while also potentiating norepinephrine and epinephrine pressor responses, inhibiting tyramine, histamine, acetylcholine, serotonin, and bretylium responses, and at 30 mg/kg i.v. reversing bretylium-induced pressure rises to falls[1].
Cyprolidol (30 mg/kg; p.o.; daily; 14 days) does not alter normotensive systolic pressure in conscious dogs[1].
