CKS9
CKS9 is an M cell-targeting polypeptide with the amino acid sequence CKSTHPLSC, forming a 9-mer peptide via cyclization through a disulfide bond between the two cysteine residues. CKS9 is obtained through phage display technology screening and has high affinity for M cells. CKS9 can promote chitosan nanoparticles to cross M cells and enter the follicle-associated epithelium (FAE) of intestinal Peyer's patches (PP). CKS9 can be used in studies related to swine dysentery and oral delivery.

Biological Activity
CKS9 can be successfully grafted onto stearic acid esterified starch to form SES@CKS9-1 and SES@CKS9-2[1].
CKS9-modified SES exhibits stronger binding affinity to integrin α5β1 than unmodified SES. CKS9 mediates key hydrogen-bond interactions at the interface of the βI/β-propeller domain of integrin, suggesting that integrin α5β1 is a potential M cell receptor for CKS9[1].
CKS9 is conjugated with WSC via EDC/NHS, with a molar ratio of 6.37 mol%[2].
As the C-terminal component of a computationally designed multi-epitope oral vaccine against *Helicobacter pylori*, CKS9 targets intestinal epithelial microfold cells to enhance the intestinal barrier uptake of the vaccine[3].
