DXR-IN-2
DXR-IN-2 is a 1-deoxy-D-xylulose-5-phosphate reductoisomerase (DXR) inhibitor and an antimalarial agent (IC50: 0.1062 μM for Plasmodium falciparum DXR and 0.369 μM for Plasmodium falciparum). DXR-IN-2 inhibits Plasmodium falciparum growth by suppressing the methyl erythritol phosphate (MEP) pathway via DXR.

Activité biologique
DXR-IN-2 (Compound 11a) (0.10-100 μg/mL, 24 h) shows negligible cytotoxicity against HepG2, with an IC50 of >50 μM[1].
DXR-IN-2 (0.5 ng/mL-100 μg/mL, 3 days) inhibits Plasmodium falciparum 3D7 growth by inhibiting the MEP pathway via DXR[1].
DXR-IN-2 (1 μM) remains stable in mouse liver microsomes for more than 1 h[1].
