Picumast
Picumast (Auteral; BM 15100) is an orally active antiallergic agent with histamine receptor antagonistic activity. Picumast inhibits allergy-related cascade reactions by suppressing mediator release from tissue mast cells while exerting histamine antagonistic effects. Picumast inhibits allergic reactions in rats, guinea pigs, and cynomolgus monkeys. Picumast can be used in allergy-related research.

Description
In Vitro
Picumast (BM 15100) dose-dependently inhibits labelled histamine uptake by isolated human leucocytes[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
In Vivo
Picumast (0.1‑0.8 mg/kg; p.o.) inhibits active cutaneous anaphylaxis (ACA) reactions in cynomolgus monkeys, with a significant inhibitory effect observed at the dose of 0.1 mg/kg[1].
Picumast (0.75 mg/kg; p.o.) inhibits allergic conjunctivitis and hyperemia symptoms in guinea pigs[1].
Picumast (0.4 mg/kg; p.o.) inhibits allergic bronchospasm in guinea pigs[1].
