Hydroxytanshinone IIA
Based on 1 Customer Validation
Hydroxytanshinone IIA is a hydrolytic metabolite of Tanshinone IIA (HY-N0135). Tanshinone IIA inhibits angiogenesis by targeting the protein kinase domain of VEGF/VEGFR2. Hydroxytanshinone IIA exhibits antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities. Hydroxytanshinone IIA can be used in studies of angina pectoris and myocardial infarction.

Description
In Vitro
The formation of Hydroxytanshinone IIA from Tanshinone IIA (HY-N0135) in rat liver microsomes exhibits sigmoidal kinetic characteristics[1].
The designated molar mass of Hydroxytanshinone IIA is 310[2].
Hydroxytanshinone IIA exhibits a characteristic elution profile at 25.7 min under LC gradient 1, and shows a characteristic fragmentation pattern dominated by the dehydrated protonated ion at m/z 293 under the specified LC-MS/MS conditions[2].
