In Vitro
IDP-73152 (10 μM; 2 h) exhibits good permeability across Caco-2 cell monolayers with low efflux, as shown by Papp values of 31.2 × 10-6 cm/s (A-to-B) and 49.5 × 10-6 cm/s (B-to-A) and an efflux ratio <2[3].
IDP-73152 (0.3 μM; 240 min) is unstable in rat blood, with a blood clearance of 0.0430 L/h/kg, which contributes minimally to overall systemic clearance in rats[3].

IDP-73152 (p.o.; twice daily) exhibits in vivo antibacterial efficacy in infected mice, with ED50 values for survival of 3.0 mg/kg, 13.3 mg/kg, and 16.6 mg/kg against penicillin-resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae, vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium, and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, respectively[3].
